No more masks in Costa Rica

Yes, you heard that correctly; the new president announced the other day that he’d be getting rid of the mask once he was in office, and he did just that. We can finally enjoy Jaco Beach the way it used to be, with late nights out on the town, total capacity at any location, and without the dreadful mask!
Masks are Optional
It is still a recommendation for anyone working in health care and is entirely optional, so if you feel better with the mask on, then by all means. Jaco Beach is vastly open when you refer to open-air restaurants and bars, and it made little sense to have to put the mask on at the door and walk five steps to your table, then take it off. With the restriction gone no need to worry! Whoohoo!!
Traveling the country
If you still have a spare mask or two laying around, you might want to hold onto it as in some places they are still recommended, and after so long of wearing it, some places you might feel better with it on, especially wouldn’t want to get sick during your vacation! You’re here to have fun and enjoy yourself. If one thing we’ve learned over these past few years is to keep proper hygiene of ourselves is essential, and hopefully, the people will continue to do so once COVID has left our lives if it ever will…
